Safety at AyoMatch
Last updated July 23, 2026
Trust is the product. Because claiming a heritage can invite impersonation, verification and safety are core to AyoMatch — not afterthoughts. This page describes the measures we provide and how to stay safe. AyoMatch is operated by Favrs and is for adults 18 and older.
Identity verification
Members can verify their identity to earn a visible verification badge. Verification uses a live selfie (and, for the document tier, a government or national ID) to confirm a real, unique person who matches their profile photos. Verification is our anti-catfish standard and a signal of serious intent. It confirms a real person — it does not certify ethnicity or tribe.
Block, report & moderation
You can block or report any member from their profile or a conversation. Reports are reviewed by a human moderation team that can warn members, remove content, suspend, or ban. We act on impersonation, harassment, scams, and any threat to member safety.
Community standards
Members must not:
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent their identity, heritage, or photos;
- Harass, threaten, or endanger others;
- Solicit money, promote scams, or engage in commercial solicitation;
- Share unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative content;
- Involve anyone under 18 in any way.
Dating safely
- Keep conversations on the platform until you feel comfortable.
- Protect personal information (home address, financial details) early on.
- Meet for the first time in a public place and tell a friend your plans.
- Never send money or financial information to someone you haven't met.
- Trust your instincts, and report anything that feels wrong.
Reporting & emergencies
To report a member or a safety concern, use the in-app report tools or email safety@ayomatch.com. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
